CAP Agency Board Chair Nate Bostrom has received the Communitas Award for Leadership in Individual Community Service. Communitas Awards seeks to honor those special companies, organizations and individuals that go beyond rhetoric and whose commitment sets them apart from their competition. Communitas winners are dedicated to helping the less fortunate in their communities and are changing the way they do business to benefit their employees, communities and environment.
Nate Bostrom currently serves as the CAP Agency Board of Directors’ Chair and as Chair of the Executive Committee. A resident of Chaska, Nate is a husband, dad, and grandpa. His professional background includes nearly thirty years in higher education as an adjunct college business professor, fundraiser, and admissions representative with Concordia University St Paul. He has also volunteered as the Chair of the City of Chaska Park Board, President of the Jonathan Association, and as a member of the Carver County Personnel Board of Appeals.
Nate has been a member of the CAP Board for the past four years. He was initially drawn to the CAP Agency because of his strong belief in and commitment to “having an effective and equitable social and economic safety net for all of us and our neighbors.” Looking forward, Nate’s goal for CAP is to help the Agency to “touch lives and transform communities” by implementing the 2017-2022 Strategic Plan at every level of our organization, making client outcomes the primary focus of everything we do as an Agency, increasing the level of personal engagement of each and every Board member, assisting the Senior Leadership Team in its efforts to develop all staff members professionally, and increasing our Agency’s resources of volunteer time, talent, and connections.
Nate has made and continues to make an impact on our communities through his advocacy for our clients and the work we do. Congratulations Nate!
