Guided Study Hall

This model focuses on the integration and collaboration of school, community and county services. Tutorial support is offered to students during the school day within a structured and guided study hall.

Saturday School

Two of the primary goals of this program are to provide student discipline options besides suspension, and to provide an opportunity for the discussion of alternative interventions with students followed by recommendations for a plan to the Student Assistance Team.

Building Strong Families and School Together

This programs teaches skills that will help students be successful in unstructured settings. Feedback from select group activities will be evaluated and early identification of social/emotional needs will be addressed. Relationships between families, students and school will be enhanced and supported.

Mental Health Services

The District has secured a contract with the Scott County Mental Health Center to have a mental health professional come to Hidden Oaks Middle School once a week to meet with students who may be seen as at-risk for mental health needs. By working closely with the school social worker and with parental permission, this person is able to screen students and make recommendations about resources and services available outside the school system.
