The Chemical Health Specialists work with
the truancy and chemical health issues facing the youth
within Scott County schools. These professionals link students
to support services, intervene on truancy and chemical health
issues, provide educational groups, one-to-one counseling,
involve parents in training and encourage them in supporting
their children. Specialists also provide diversion options
to the courts for truant youth and provide a connection
to the courts for youth that have been referred.
