Description
WIC is a nutrition education program intended to promote good health by providing nutrition information and counseling along with supplemental foods such as milk, cheese, juice, cereals and infant formula. Children are weighed and measured at WIC clinics to monitor healthy growth.

Participation
WIC services are available to women who are pregnant, nursing or postpartum and to families with infants and children under the age of five. WIC eligibility is based on household income guidelines.

Cost
WIC services are available at no cost to eligible families.
