Who does the CAP Agency help?

Last year the CAP Agency served 31,604 people from 9,962 families, living in Scott, Carver or Dakota Counties.

The CAP Agency services help:

  • Residents of Scott, Carver or Dakota Counties
  • People of all ages: Infants to senior citizens
  • People of all ethnic backgrounds
  • Single-parent and two-parent families or individuals with no children
  • Predominately families with at least one wage earner in the household
  • Clients who seek services on an ongoing basis
  • Clients who seek services on a temporary basis due to a job layoffs or unexpected medical expenses
  • Individuals or families of low-income levels in need of basic services such as food, clothing, shelter, transportation and energy-related assistance
  • Families of varying income levels with young children in need of childcare and crisis care services
  • Home-based childcare providers who seek recruitment or professional development support
  • Senior citizens of varying income levels in need of basic services or seeking Senior Dining and Meals on Wheels services
