Description
CAP Agency housing and homeless prevention services help people
who are homeless or at risk of being homeless - to secure transitional
housing or maintain existing housing. Assistance includes short or long-term
case management services intended to help clients stabilize their situation
and become self-reliant.
Participation
CAP Agency housing and homeless prevention services are available to
families or individuals living in Scott, Carver or Dakota Counties who
are homeless or at risk of being homeless.
Clients are often in need of housing and/or homeless prevention services
because of economic challenges, fixed incomes, family-related crisis,
divorce, mental illness or domestic abuse. Transitional housing accommodations
may last up to two years. Space is limited.
Eligibility
Persons seeking CAP Agency housing and/or homeless prevention
services who have existing unpaid rent commitments, must first apply
and be denied Emergency Assistance through their county. Other eligibility
requirements do exist.
