Description
Energy
Assistance Program (EAP) provides grants to help pay residential heating
bills. Additional funds are available for energy crisis situations and
energy-related repairs. Information on energy conservation practices
is also offered.
Participation
Services are available to income-eligible renters and homeowners of
Scott, Carver and Dakota Counties.

of Scott, Carver and Dakota Counties.

The EAP
funding year runs October 1 - May 31. Applicants are encouraged to apply
early, however, funds are not guaranteed to last the entire year.
Cost
EAP services are provided at no cost to eligible families.
Payment
Process
EAP payments are made directly to energy providers based on a determined
grant amount per household. Once the EAP payment is processed by the
energy vendor, a credit appears on the household energy bill received
by the client.
