Meals on Wheels: Offers weekday delivery of nutritious
noon meals to homebound adults age 60 and older. Meals on Wheels is
available on a short-term or long-term basis.

nutritionally balanced hot noon meals to adults age 60 and older. Health
information, social service referrals, nutrition education, volunteer
opportunities, occasional celebrations and companionship with other
participants are also provided..

required two-day advance meal reservation can be made by contacting

page.

Shop:
Offers the general public high-quality, gently used clothing and small
household appliances for sale at reasonable prices in a department store
atmosphere. The thrift shop is located in Shakopee.

Provides intensive home visits to support new and expectant parents
in the areas of child health and development, positive parenting skills
and a safe home environment.
Head

Offers
a family-based preschool program to children ages 3-5. Head Start is
for income-eligible families at not cost and includes education, social
services and health and nutrition services.
Kid
Connections:
Offers childcare with a school readiness focus for children age 3-5
by qualified, caring staff in a small center environment. The center
is located in Inver Grove Heights.

& Homeless Prevention:–
Helps people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless, to secure
transitional housing or maintain existing housing.

Energy
Assistance Program (EAP):
Provides grants to income-eligible renters and homeowners to help pay
heating bills. Additional funds are available for crisis situations
and energy-related repairs.

Provides families with money-saving incentives and support for money
management and financial planning.
Food
Support Outreach:
The
Food Support Program is a county-run, federal program that helps Minnesotans
with low-income get the food they need for sound nutrition and well-balanced
meals. Under the guidance of the USDA and the DHS, monthly benefits
are issued in the form of a re-usable Electronic Benefit Transfer card
(EBT).
Ways
to Work:
- CAP Agency Ways to Work enables individuals or families to
obtain low-interest bank financing to purchase affordable transportation
for work.
